Along Interstate 94 is Wibaux, home to the Wibaux County Courthouse.  This is where my family is from, and it is a really nice little town, but more than a little dead before 6am.
(728 miles)
Southwards on State 7 is Baker, Fallon County.
(773 miles)
Still going south is Ekalaka, Carter County.  Then it is back north again, because the only paved road is the one from Baker!
(808 miles)
West on US 12 from Baker stands a nice rest area.  It was needed after the 20 miles of golf ball sized gravel used in the construction I passed through west of Baker.
I was three miles from Miles City when I turned east onto I94 again.  Terry also has a very clearly marked Prairie County Courthouse.  From there it is back on I94 again and back to Glendive before turning west onto State 200S.
(956 miles)
